Description
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect before I popped open the tubes containing these Sugar Coated Pearls by grӧn. I was certainly intrigued by the name and the different cannabinoids that are delivered.
With a slightly startling ‘pop,’ the tubes turned out to be filled with bright, bulbous gummies. Disappointingly, There was nothing too special about them other than their fairly spherical shape. I found them all to be very chewy, heavy on the gelatin, but the sour sugar coating was perhaps my favourite of all the cannabis infused gummies I have tried.
Pomegranate 4:1
I started with the CBD heavy hitter with 8mg CBD to 2mg THC to reach the 4:1 ratio in the name. They smelled a little odd and tad sour but not off-putting and were a lovely dark red hue. Though even with a real good chew I didn’t discover anything special about the flavour, it was fruity but you couldn’t quite figure out which one.
Blue Razzleberry 3:1
I couldn’t wait any longer to get some good feels from the 6mg CBG to 2mg THC 3:1 offering. The Blue Razzleberry name invokes the idea of classic blue candy and that is exactly what you get in colour, scent, and taste. Eating this one after the first had set in built into some of that edible high effect (note my comfortable high THC ceiling in edibles is 10mg).
Blackberry Lemonade 1:1:1
The fitting end to this gummy sampling was to relax and get sleepy with 2mg each of CBN, CBD, and THC. While these Blackberry Lemonade 1:1:1 dark purple globes had a scent that seemed medicinal, the flavour was my favourite of the bunch. Still quite artificial, but with the sweet dark berry flavour contrasted against a sour tang that made the extra chewing worth it.
Eating one of each of these pearls created an evening that was chill and enjoyable. While I wouldn’t give them any awards for taste or texture, their price point is accessible at $5 a tube and a fun way to learn more about these minor cannabinoids.
